I am sure they must have something that made them put in their every effort to breathe regardless of how difficult and tired it will be. One might be looking forward to the reunion with family and friends, another might be looking forward to carrying their grandchild in their hands after they recover and yet another might be expecting to be a better person and cherish life much more than ever once they get discharged.
At very point of time, God asked me: "What is the one thing then, in your life, that makes you persevere and keep on going regardless of the obstacles?"
I was dumbfounded for a while. I should be able to answer this question immediately, but I was slow in answering, to the point that I think I might have lost the sight of the answer to this question.
That day, as I sat in the visitors' lounge and every moment that I have a chance to ponder, I kept thinking and pondering about the answer to the question.
The one thing in my life that helps me to persevere regardless of the obstacles is knowing that God, You have created me with a specific purpose for me in mind. With this, I will continue running the race. I might trip, I might fall, I might even be done for a period of time, but Lord, it is the eternal hope in You that will keep me going, going to the destination that You have set for me.
