Dear girls, just to let you all know that my flight has been confirmed & I'll be flying off to Montreal on 15 March. Unfortunately, this means I won't be joining you all for OC2009 Moving with the Spirit but it's my prayer that we'll continue to grow in God together. It has not been easy in the last few weeks for me (as my brother, sister in law and nephew came over for CNY) but I think what Liwen is going through is a lot tougher than me.

Phil 2:12-18 encourages us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling...do everything without complaining or arguing to be blameless and pure and through that, we'll shine like stars in living out the Word of God in our lives.

Recently I've been finding it difficult not to complain or argue :( Things at work, things at home, even ministries I feel like there's just too much things on my mind, in my to-do list and even in my dreams! =p how terrible that you are even working in your dreams...haha

I believe God is once again bringing me back to the core - heart attitude. I asked God - how can a person not complain or argue in everything and anything? To me, it felt like it's impossible (even very little things like my dad asked me to search for a store where they sell the baby milk powder my nephew is having - I'm thinking my brother is literate, well educated and not handicapped ok? =D yes, complaining with all my logic and reasoning).

God reminded me of Job & said it's the fear of God that stop people from complaining and arguing. When we have reverent fear towards God, we'll know that if we complain, we're in effect bringing down God as He is the one allowing things to happen in our lives and He has taught us to respond in His ways - with humility and gratitude. When we argue, we effectively allow pride to enter us. I taught evangelism on Sunday in CDS Foundation and once again, God reminded me of my first few times going forth for evangelism, how I've learnt how to answer the questions and began to argue my way through. I may have won a few arguments but I've lost the chance of winning a soul for God.

The more we complain and the more we argue, we'll cultivate a heart attitude of dissatisfaction, frustration, negativity and pride - losing the love, joy, peace (fruit of HS in Galatians) in our lives.
